Lueders, Texas  -  Eastward View of Main Street  -  July 4, 1923
Carol Felts, LHS Class of 53, had this to say about the above photo:...   View is looking east from about the old Loop building, just beyond the drug store sign on the left you see stairs running up the outside of a two story building. That is where I spent my first year of life. i.e. 1935/36 - Mothers grandfather built and owned a hotel there, she and dad lived there when I was born, downstairs was a pool hall. I remember dad telling that they would stand me on the table and shoot pool balls between my feet. I guess the garage sign is where Fred Sides garage was in our day. Mom says our furniture was mostly boxes that she crocheted covers for. She swept out and cleaned the hotel for 50 cents a week.
